The Celler Vell company is dedicated exclusively to the production of artisan cava, nurturing a family tradition dating from the early 20th century, based on cultivation of the vineyards on our own property in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia.
Pere Estruch Casanovas founded the company in 1954 and his sons continue the work he began, enriched with the experience of over four decades.
The characteristics of the soil, along with the area's microclimate, give consistent grape harvests, allowing us to obtain a fruity cuvee base wine which is ideal for cava production.
Celler Vell works with the traditional - artisanal - method, taking into account:
- Hand-picking of the best grapes on the Estate.
- Individual remuage of each bottle in the pupitre.
- Disgorging of each bottle by hand.
This careful process and over two years aging in cellars are what establish the quality of Celler Vell.
Location and how to get here

Our Cellars are located on a beautiful hillside in the heart of the Penedés region, at the centre of the Cava Capital, Sant Sadurní d’Anoia. Surrounded by vineyards, we work on the process of producing and aging Celler Vell in a strictly artisanal manner.
